Had A Problem While Installing Ubuntu’s Grub
လြန္ခဲ့တဲ့ ၂ ရက္က ကၽြန္ေတာ္ Ubuntu (အူဘြန္းတူး 
) 8.04 LTS ကုိ Download လုပ္ျပီး Laptop ေပၚမွာ စမ္းျပီး Vista နဲ႔ Dual Boot ရေအာင္ လုပ္ၾကည့္ပါတယ္။ တကယ္လုပ္ခ်င္တာကေတာ့ Vista/XP/Ubuntu ကို Triple boot ခ်င္တာ HDD က ေနရာ မဆန္႔ေတာ့လို႔ XP ကုိ ျဖဳတ္လိုက္ရတယ္ 
။ ISO ကုိ CD ေပၚ burn ျပီးေတာ့ boot တက္ျပီး Install လုပ္တဲ့အထိေတာ့ အဆင္ေျပပါတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ Ubuntu ရဲ့ Grub လို႔ ေခၚတဲ့ bootloader ကုိ install လုပ္တဲ့ေနရာလဲေရာက္ေရာ Unable to install ဆိုျပီး error တက္လာပါေရာ။ Retry လုပ္လဲ အဲဒီ error ပဲ ျပပါတယ္။
Grub မပါပဲ ဆိုရင္ Ubuntu ကုိ boot တက္လုိ႔ မရပါဘူး။ LILO ဆိုတဲ့ ေနာက္ Bootloader တစ္ခုေတာ့ ရွိေပမယ့္ အဲဒါတင္ရင္ၾကေတာ့ Vista နဲ႔ Dual Boot လို႔မရျပန္ဘူး။ LILO က စက္တက္တာနဲ႔ Ubuntu ထဲကုိ တစ္ခါတည္း ၀င္သြားတယ္ ( ကၽြန္ေတာ္ မလုပ္တတ္တာလဲ ပါလိမ့္မယ္ ) ။
EasyBCD နဲ႔လဲ စမ္းၾကည့္ပါတယ္။ မရပါဘူး။ အဲဒါနဲ႔ Ubuntu ကို အစက ျပန္တင္လိုက္ (Installation Time က မိနစ္ ၂၀ ေလာက္).. မရရင္ Vista ရဲ့ Bootloader ကုိ တစ္ခါ ျပန္ျပင္ရနဲ႔ တိုင္ တကယ္ကုိ ပိတ္ပါတယ္။
How I Got It Finally
ေနာက္ဆံုး တစ္ေခါက္မွေတာ့ စိတ္ေပါက္ေပါက္နဲ႔ Vista ထဲ ျပန္၀င္ျပီး Ubuntu တင္ဖို႔ လုပ္ထားတဲ့ Partation ကုိ ဖ်က္ပလိုက္ပါတယ္။ အဲဒီျပီးေတာ့ တင္လဲ တင္ေရာ Grub က အဆင္ေျပေျပ တင္လုိ႔ ရသြားပါတယ္။
အစက အဲဒီ Partation က XP တင္ထားတဲ့ အပိုင္းထဲကုိ Ubuntu ကုိ ထည့္တာမွာ ဘာက ဘယ္လုိျဖစ္သြားမွန္း မသိပဲ မရတာပါ ( Format လဲ အၾကိမ္ၾကိမ္ခ် ျပီးသားပါ)။ ဒီေတာ့ ကၽြန္ေတာ့္လို႔ပဲ Grub ထည့္လို႔မရျဖစ္ေနရင္ အခုလိုမ်ိဳး စမ္းၾကည့္ပါလုိ႔ ေျပာခ်င္ပါတယ္။ 
ကြ်န္ေတာ္လဲ အရင္က အဲဒီလိုတိုင္ပတ္ဖူးတယ္.. Windows Server 2003, XP, Vista အၿပင္ Ubuntu တင္တယ္ အဲဒါ အကုန္ boot တက္တယ္.. ေနာက္ထပ္စမ္းမယ္ဆိုၿပီး OpenSuse ပါ ထပ္တင္လိုက္ေတာ့ တိုင္ပတ္ေရာ.. အကုန္ပ်က္သြားတယ္.. မရဘူး ဒါနဲ႔ ေနာက္ထပ္ အကုန္ အစအဆံုးၿပန္တင္တယ္ အားလံုး ၿပီးေတာ့ ထပ္စမ္းမရဘူး.. စမ္းရင္း စမ္းရင္းနဲ႔ windows ကို အၾကိမ္ ၅၀ ေလာက္တင္လိုက္ၿပဳတ္လိုက္နဲ႔ မရေတာ့လို႔ လက္ေလ်ာ့လိုက္ၿပီ.. အခုေတာ့ Suse ကို VM Ware နဲ႔ပဲ တင္ေတာ့..
because Ubuntu use GERD boot that is more basic than window boot and so if u install the linux later but window is missing right. did u know about how to repair Ubuntu boot file . i install ubuntu first and then later install vista … i can’t find the ubuntu right now …

No. Normally, GRUB can detect Windows automatically and adds to the list. But, in your case, you install XP after Ubuntu so XP replace GRUB with it’s own boot loader in Master Boot Record (MBR). In order to restore GRUB, you can use either two way. One is using EasyBCD. [Link]

Partation ကို Ext 2 အၿဖစ္ထားပါ…mout point ကို \ ထားပါ…..Installation ၿပီးသြားတဲ့အခါ GRUB မွာ Vista ကို Other Operation System
